The UK has recorded another 11,299 coronavirus cases and 608 related deaths in the past 24 hours
The number of cases are down on the 15,450 recorded on Monday but the number of deaths are up on 206 recorded on Monday
It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 1,538,794.
On Thursday, people in England will find out which tier they are being placed in once the lockdown ends on December 2.
On Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his winter plan for tackling coronavirus in the months leading to spring.
He said it was hoped the rollout of a vaccine would signal that life could go back to "normal" by Easter.
